At this workshop:
- Understand what the literature says about potential methods to use for quality postsecondary transition planning.
- Increase you knowledge about the transition planning process for children with disabilities.
- Understand the role occupational therapists and parents can play in the area of transition planning.
BIO: TEE STOCK, MS OTR/L, MBA
Tee Stock has been a pediatric occupational therapist since 1998, specializing in school and home based practice and has experience working with schools, families, and other service providers. Tee completed her Master of Occupational Therapy at Tufts University in Medford Ma in 1998. Tee is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Quinnipiac University and expects to complete that in May 2017. She also has a Master in Business Administration from Bentley University. Tee has presented on sensory integration and handwriting at several Massachusetts locations. She has worked on client centered occupational therapy and transition planning in public schools, a private special education school and for a local collaborative. Tee received awards from 2 local SEPACs (Special Education Advisory Councils) for her work. She is certified in Astronaut Training, Therapeutic Listening and Handwriting Without Tears and has extensive continuing education in the areas of autism, sensory processing, handwriting, social skills, and other school and home based therapy topics. Tee is currently conducting a research study on post-secondary transition planning and the roles that OTs have in that process.
